The importance of being verified

At the moment, pretty much every Big business or institution with which I interreact is demanding the right to verify me....but very few of them are willing to come clean about their own preference for mendacity over vérité.

For example, my Nationwide CEO Debbie Crosbie just awarded herself a 43% pay increase, meaning she'll earn a whopping £7 million this year. Under Building Soc regulations, the members are entitled to vote on whether they like such high-handed management, but Ms Crosbie has blocked our ability so to do.

Greed and Truth are antithetical. Greed feeds revolution. What goes around comes around, Debbie Crosbie.

Or does it?

The world has changed because vast numbers of people have become compliant about inexcusable behaviour, because thousands of Boomers like me have died....but mainly because fifty shades of censorship have ensured that multivariate State propaganda dominates the legacy media thanks to Investment House money bribery. 

I'm tired of shouting to drown out a soccer crowd of distracted screamers....and I suspect an awful lot of web surfers out there are sick of the sound of my voice in these columns. I know I am.

If we're going to make a difference, it has to be done on the ground, on the doorsteps and by using unexpected tactics. This means being Solidinarsc, not Solzhenytsin - being organised and mutual, not a bunch of greedy egos like Tucker Carlson and Elon Musk charging big money to advocate Free Speech.

Whichever way you cut it, that's warped thinking. Digital social media and all things internet are owned by the megalomaniacs.

They need to be neutered, and high security, targeted surprise attacks on every kind of totalitarian institution mounted in a grass-roots manner that will scare the bullies shitless. 

For if there is one thing I've learned during the hand-to-hand trench warfare of the last fifteen months, it's that most bullies are cowards: stand firm, and they will back off.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for many good men to do nothing"....and all that. 

And yet...if 62% blithely obey while 4% want us silenced, that still leaves 34% (one in three) who outnumber the psychos eight to one.

 I'll take those odds....but via an analogue uprising based on Mutuality - not a social media jerk-off. I don't do glorious defeat in flames: I've always been an Alpha winner, and I always will be.

TwitterX wants to verify me - aka it wants me to pay for the right to Free Speech. Nationwide wants to verify me - aka it wants proof of who I am before it will replace my debit card. I've been with them for 27 years.

And now, that nice Mr Starmer has confirmed he will give the Department of Work & Pensions the right to invade and plunder everyone's bank account balance details. Don't say I didn't warn you - you read it here first.

But verification IS important

What I've been trying to verify over the last six weeks is the effectiveness of what I "do" - that is, express evidenced views about a World careening towards libertarian, nuclear, financial and religious disaster.

I think that what I do is effective in encouraging the converted. That will I hope continue. But as a means of reversing the deadly trend towards silent compliance, it is ineffectual.

I'm going to spend more time doing three things here in The Gambia: investing in motivated people, self-sufficiency, security and running all banked wealth down to the bare minimum; at my writing desk, producing fiction which I hope will make people question more and more assumptions; and on the guitar, trying to get some anthems out there.
